Beyonce is rumored to be considering a film remake of the Whoppi Goldberg featured flick ‘Sister Act’ !
According to Britain’s Daily Mail, sources say the “Sasha Fierce’ diva has been in talks with Disney over a 2011 remake:
“Beyonce has asked her representatives to persuade Disney to develop the show into a film vehicle for her,” says the source.
“If this comes to pass, she would take on, in musical form, the part Whoopi Goldberg creates in the 1992 ‘Sister Act’ film, although the stage version moves the action from the West Coast to Philadelphia.”
Sister Act, released in 1992, spawned a sequel titled “Back In The Habit” which featured burgeoning star Lauryn Hill.

Despite his representatives claiming that he was never booked to perform a tribute to Michael Jackson at the BET Awards, some believe Chris Brown is fuming with the network.
“He’s furious,” a pal of the singer told NY Daily News. “BET asked him to perform and waited until the last minute to tell him it was off. He’s pretty shocked and outraged right now.”
Brown’s presence was missed at the show however, there was allegedly debate over the fact that he had plead guilty to assaulting Rihanna nearly a week before the show. Other rumors floating around include Jay Z allegedly threatening to pull his performance from the show and concerns from advertisers including CoverGirl.
Both BET and Chris Brown’s management say there is no truth to these rumors.
