Remy Ma’s Wedding Called Off
According to the New York Post, Remy Ma’s wedding was called off after fiance, Papoose tried to sneak the jailed rapper a small, universal handcuff key into the facility. The key was quickly confiscated by guards, according to corrections officials. Papoose was then kicked off of the island without ever being allowed to see his bride-to-be.
“Get out of my face,” Papoose snarled at a reporter yesterday as he returned to his Cadillac SUV in the jail’s parking lot.
“I don’t want to talk,” said the still-single “Mix Tape King,” who had worn his Sunday-best Yankee cap for the occasion.
“You all write racist articles.”
Remy Ma is currently awaiting sentencing from the Manhattan Supreme court for her felony assault conviction in March. The rapper faces up to 25 years in prison for shooting her former friend, Makeda-Barnes Joseph in the stomach during an argument outside of a Manhattan nightclub last summer.
She will now have to wait until after she is sentenced to the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in Westchester County before she will be eligible to tie the knot again.
