My Favorite Things: Janelle Monae’s “Metropolis”
I copped this album on Sunday and I couldn’t be happier. I knew that Janelle wouldn’t disappoint and she confirmed that with this album. It’s so fresh but regrettably only has seven songs. That’s because she plans on release four albums within a year. She left me wanting more so I will happily take my azz to go get the next “suite.”
If you want to have a chill weekend, make sure you cop this album. With its retro yet futuristic feel, earthy and interplanetary at the same time, you’ll maximize your “lounge” potential.

I wish that she would get more promo! Oh well, she’s scheduled to be out at Nectar Lounge out here in Seattle on Aug. 23rd and I’m planning on being there!�
