My Two Cents: Analyzing Solange’s Temper Tantrum…

Now, I am not going to say that this isn’t funny, because it is. It’s f*cking hilarious! I also understand standing up for yourself and putting haters/marks/punks in their place. This right here wasn’t a good look.

I know the album came out yesterday, but don’t get it twisted. Bad PR can be a buzzkill. If she had any issues with the reporter, she should’ve addressed that off-camera. God don’t like ugly, so for throwing that temper tantrum, she ended up looking an absolute horse’s a$$. I like the girl and I’ll buy her cd over Beyonce’s any day, but the “chip-on-the-shoulder” thing is NOT a good look.

Let me be even more real, I am SO glad that she has her own lane and is far away from her sister’s shadow. Regardless, her sister’s shadow is what got her and the family here in the first place. Accept, breathe, move on and overcome.

That’s my two cents. Now if you haven’t seen the video, see below.

Beyonce’s little sister needs to get a grip. The only reason she is getting any kind of publicity is because she is Beyonce’s little sister. She is desperately trying to get our of big sis’s shadow. Well big sis is a major superstar with a superstar husband. Big sis is a great performer. Sorry, Beyonce’s little sister. You should stick to working in the back ground. You made yourself look like a complete A$$ and you don’t even have a career.

I’m an avid Beyonce fan, but I have to admit Solange is starting to grow on me. Decent voice, nice lyrics, better music than what a lot of other ppl are dishing out nowadays. She will be much more successful, however, if she stops milking the whole “stepping-out-of-my-big-sister’s-shawdow” routine - It WILL get old. Like you said, the commentary could have waited til off the air, and this new swag she’s stumbled upon is working just fine. Piece of advice: Solange, you’re steadily building a fan base, don’t f*ck it up by pushing a point that’s already been proven.

What Solange did was CORRECT…Regardless if it was off air or on air the conversation took place in her presence and that was INCORRECT. I’m a fan of good music and so far Solange hasn’t dissapointed me. As far as “stepping out of her sisters shadow” that is a term that everyone uses but she’s been doing her own thing for a while.

I saw the performance in DC with the crasher on stage. I think she’s a class act and great entertainer. Solange will definitely appeal to all age groups and that’s a rarity today. Her style certainly reminds you of the one and only diva Ms. Ross!

i don’t care how she tries, she will never be as big as beyonce. people don’t forget that she shot the bird at the half-time performance when the lakers were playing the sixers. she was a dancer and should have stayed her syrup sipping @$$ in the back with the rest of them. the little career she thought she had fizzled right before her eyes! but what’s funny, is she stepped out of beyonce’s shadow and right into diana ross’! c’mon, there are waaaaay more talented people who paid their dues long before DC hit the scene and gave solange any kind of spotlight…yall need to listen to jazmine sullivan and leave this crack head looking chick alone!

What a phoney baloney. Trying so hard to be hard when you’re from the burbs. She needs to take a look at some true super stars who handled themselves 110% better under similar circumstances. Janet Jackson was gracious when her brother was the top celeb in the world when she was just Penny & once she achieved super stardom. Humility can take you a long way.
