Solange Knowles Responds To Interview Blackout
R&B singer Solange says “Stop jockin’ Jay-Z,” in response to the criticism she has received regarding an interview she did with Las Vegas’ Fox 5 News, after she scolded the reporter.
How did you feel about that?
I saw the original interview , and Solange was right. Fox is a slimy network, they tried to pull a bait and switch and it backfired.
August 29th, 2008 at 10:27 pmViewers were not allowed to see what had transpired prior to the interview so we do not know exactly what prompted Solange’s reaction. Having said that, being the budding starlet (using the term loosely) that Solange is, it would have behooved her to reserve her discontent until she was off the air. She is young and unable to appreciate that speaking her mind the way she did may have been to her disadvantage. She made herself look like - a diva at best, a bitch at worst. One of the few celebrities I know who can go on the attack and still have people like her is Cher. But she has EARNED it. She’s been in the game since the early seventies and she has established herself. Solange is still a newbie and it would behoove her just to observe and learn - choosing her battles wisely and rack up some credibility under her belt before she decides to open her mouth.
