I’m not even mad at Josh Howard’s national anthem “rant.” He looks like he was just screwing around to begin with. At the same time, instead of jumping down his throat, we need to be asking why he’s feeling that way.

It’s obvious he feels disenfranchised. A lot of minorities feel that way. Everyone wants to say he’s being racist and he should leave the country, but what sense does that make? Having an issue with your country is not RACIST as the country is not a race, it’s a country. Seeing as how freedom of speech is protected under our constitution, how ridiculous is it to demand that he leave the country? It’s called freedom of speech. I can’t stand what the Klan has to say, but I’m not yelling for them to leave the country. Unless of course an opportunity presented itself, like they were put on an island that was about to be tested by a hydrogen bomb but that’s another story…

In any case, leave this man alone. They don’t have to agree with what he said, and he will get a bunch of crap at games, but that’s where it ends. Anything further is ignorant and unfair.
