Paula Abdul
A former contestant on “American Idol,” Paula Goodspeed, who was reportedly obsessed with Paula Abdul, died in an apparent suicide outside the star’s Los Angeles mansion Nov. 12, 2008. Goodspeed, who was in her 30s, auditioned for the show in 2006 and during her performance revealed her love for the “Opposites Attract” performer. Goodspeed had made life-sized drawings of Abdul, and said her very first picture was of the singer. TMZ reports, “An LAPD spokesperson said the parents of the victim believe their daughter was a ‘big fan’ of Paula’s. Whether this has anything to do with the victim’s death is unclear, but it seems more than a coincidence her body was found just yards from Paula’s home. There’s no evidence of foul play.”
