Beyonce went a little to far and raised some eyebrows with this one, here’s what she said:

I mean its cool for her to tell how she grew up and the status her parents had. But she can’t come off and diss the jackson’s. The weren’t upper class like a whole lot of other people. Most children who’s family is lower to middle class want to do whatever they can help their family change their way of life. Joe jackson may have been a really strict cat but if he hadn’t pushed them to reach their full potential would we have the greatest star of all time Mike Jackson? Or would we even have lil sis Janet? And the jackson five as a unit were not a mayo sandwhich either!!! Beyonce just needs to think twice before she says stuff and be thankful. the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away…..

I don’t think anyone is hating on Beyonce. And It is hard to deny that she is a talented entertainer. But unless you know her personally you can’t really say that she is sweet, nice, and kind. She may very well be all those things. But, she has to appear to be be that way to a certain extent for the public.
One must think about what they say before it is said. Clearly she did not. Maybe it was not an intentional stab at the Jackson family, but it was a stab. It’s great that she comes from a family that was well off before her success. But the quote did seem a bit like she feels very high and mighty. Good for her. People, including Beyonce who is only human; need to choose their words wisely; especially when you are in the public’s eye.

Trying to be objective I think beyonce didn’t mean to try and put down the jacksons just to acknowledge that from what we see on movies and hear growing up that the way her family got into fame wasnt the same way the jacksons did. Beyonce is young and talented and we should acknowledge that. Its good to see young black women on some positive things. And a lot of times we speak w/o really realizing how it comes out until after its said. I mean the Jackson kids were under a lot of pressure to “make it” but that was just because their father knew what they could do and who they could become. If some of us didn’t give our kids a push some of them wouldn’t do anything.
Beyonce’s dad lost his job and they had to move into a smaller house and dad made destiny child his project,the were doing all those moves at the age of 9 and wearing heels at 9…..they were in a bad situation…..why does she open her legs wide open in the single ladies video that is not creative.I used to like Bey but then I saw her insecured ways of trying to out do everyone,she is now trying so hard to win the Oscar bcoz she dont wanna be left out…..all her evil ways will catch with her one day and her stans are gonna kill themselves when they realize the truth….

I think she meant well but came across the wrong way. Beyonce is way to young to understand what it meant to be born in the late 50′s early 60′s. Joe Jackson was tough, maybe a little to tough, but one has to understand that being a African American back then was all about survival and if you wanted your African American children to succeed on the level that caucasian children succeeded, then you had to make them work harder. She can play old time movies and she can perform with people like Tina Turner and others, but she has no idea what it meant to survive tough times in the 60′s. She’s a kid compared to the Jackson 5. I think that she is an amazing talent and I am glad that she is still carrying herself with some sort of dignity and respect, but her comments are those of a child who really hasn’t experienced any real hardship financially. She has no clue the advantage that her father had over Joe Jackson because of the years apart that their children were born. She needs to study her history.

First of all, the comments we’re hearing from Beyonce comes as no surprise. “It’s not what’s in her that defiles her, but what comes out of her.” In other words, this is the true, real Beyonce not Sasha fierce. Intially, she had to curtail her tongue to remain in good grace with her fans and in the public’s eye for sales and image sake.
Now the side of Beyonce that we’re seeing and will see more of is what’s truly in her heart. There is no Sasha fierce! “From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” Her marriage to Jay-Z is like icing on the cake. She feels she’s accomplished it all including her marriage to Jay-Z and her success now allows her to speak what she’s always been feeling. She, of course shifts the blame to Sasha fierce.
I hope Beyonce remembers, “judge not that you be not juged with the same yard stick.” and “when you think you’re standing, least you fall.”
A Jaguar and private school is not “upper class status.” That comment displays her arrogrance and ignorance. My kids went to private school and my husband drove a Jaguar and I drove a Beamer (BMW). We were just two working middle class people who invested in these luxuries.
By the way, did not Beyonce and Solange say that they were home schooled? Now it’s a private school. If the truth be told, which is it?
Another thing, why would anybody ever compare she and her sister to the Jacksons of all people? The Jacksons were a family group who a couple of them, Michael and Janet went solo. There could NEVER be a comparison no matter how you look at it. She and Solange’s talent and success can not be matched with Michael and Janet or the Jacksons, period. Why would she dare compare herself to the Jacksons or make a comment as such? She can NEVER be compared to them, NEVER!!! Beyonce wants to be an icon like the Jacksons and she should consider it an honor if anyone would ever imply such.

By the way, shaking your booty and crawling around on the floor is not talent nor dancing. The Jacksons are raw talent, dancers and true icons that again, she’ll never be.
Also, I learned recently that Beyonce’s father contacts various magazine companies soliciting his daughter. Beyonce is not that sought after, beleive me!
If anyone can explain this to me, please do so: I respect their privacy but what’s the big deal that she and Jay-Z are married and happy? To admit that, how is that letting people into your personal life?
It’ll be nice just to see Jay-Z walk side by side with her like most couples do. Beyonce, the want-to-be icon has got to feel embarassed.
Beyonce did mention, however that she’s planning to start a family in about two years. Guess why? She’ll have to much competition right now because Angelina will be the highest bidder. She and Jay-Z will have a child when the attention can be more on them and the stakes are higher for pictures. Any attention that will keep them in the spotlight, so they won’t fade-out. Let’s see how private they’ll remain then.

My third grade teacher drove a jag and went to a private school. She wasn’t “socially elite” not by “Our Kinda People Standards” but…she was ELITE, in that she was competent in her field. She was a “class act” as a teacher. The Jacksons, are the UPPER CLASS of entertainment, as is Aretha, Tina Turner and others.

Look, Beyonce and Janet grew up in different times. Back then it was hard for anyone black to get anywhere far. Now, it’s a little easier. That’s why Beyonce is Beyonce. Janet and her family had more of struggle to over come. I wish that Beyouce would have thought about that before she made that comment. Let’s think logical here ok? First things first – Beyonce is a great stage performer, and an excellent singer – her acting has also improved with each movie she stars in. Is Beyonce better vocally than Janet – YES! Is Beyonce a better dancer than Janet – NO! In fact I think they both are the same in some sense. Is Beyonce creative – YES! In certain areas of her career, is Beyonce a genuis – NO!! Will Beyonce be an Icon 40 years from now – Probably, I wouldn’t doubt it, is Janet an Icon – uh….maybe with the Jackson name, YES, but I can’t say that she is just yet. If Beyonce made that comment, I would say it was very snobbish of her to attack a family verbally, that the world has grown to love and respect..for crying out loud this is the King of Pop’s (Michael Jackson) family we are speaking of here. Beyonce probably made that comment out of jealousy—-plainly put, she wants to be an Icon and a Legend, so maybe she feels uncomfortable when people start comparing her fame and stardom to that of the Jackson’s –which I don’t understand why anyone would do such a thing. The Jackson’s were famous long before Beyonce was born, not only that, but neither Janet nor Beyonce are genuis when it comes to music or entertaining in general. They both are beautiful, talented and rich women in a cut throad industry. Even if Beyonce doesn’t make it to Icon status, she sould still thank God that she has been allowed to reap the benefits of her labor within that industry–that she wakes up each day doing what she enjoys.
