I agree with you. Your facts are facts. But there came a time when the “Ross voice” wasn’t enough (“Forever Came Today”, “No Matter What Sign You Are” for example). In almost any list of 1960′s, the Supremes rank with the Beatles, Elvis, and the Rolling Stones,rank at the top. Berry Gordy’s mistake was to go with Diana only when he could have had both. The Rolling Stones remain exceptionally popular today. Members have gone their own way at times, but today they perform as group. Jean Terrell could have come in making two groups: D Ross and The Supremes. Ross is solo sometimes. JMC Supremes record and perform. At times all Supremes perform together. The Rolling Stones have it right. It’s about the legacy.

Mary Wilson , such a Lady? Was she a lady when she went down on Sammy Davis Jr. in her dressing room, (after snorting a couple of lines?)
Or was she a lady, when she sang a Supremes Medley to a bunch of drug dealers in a Harlem alley, (all to get a better price for her coke?)
Or was she a lady when she “borrowed” her Gynecologists house for an appearance on Lifestles of the Rich & Famous?, (She was actually living in a 2 Bedroom Apt in the skids @ the time)
And why your at it, why not explain how, being intimate with Berry Gordy made Diana Ross’s voice more appealing to the public?
Mary Wilson was the Least influentual Supreme Ever, If you love losers, thats your business, just because most of us prefer Diana Ross, doesn’t mean we have to take shit off a withered up old queen like you!

Thank you, That is the most positive thing said. Both women are phenomenal. They will and always will be legends. Diana Ross was and is one of a kind. God just blessed her that way. She had all the talents that touched a lot of fans that made her. Mary Wilson has her fans also. So these people writing all this negative stuff about Ms. Ross, and Ms. Wilson need to just stop. To Ms. Ross and Ms. Wilson I hope that you all will put aside your pass and have a nurturing friendship. Please before it is to late.

i thank Ms Wilson for giving us more years of music but with differrent members. Mary did what she thought was right by sharing her life as a Supreme and shared Diana’s need to be the STAR at everyone’s expesnse. Hell i saw i all unravle after they kicked Flo to the curb. Very well planned and masterd to the day Diana left the group. Thourghout the ugly situations I will always Love Diana, mary, FLo the most. They started my love life with them as a kid.and it still holds. The FLOS, Maray WIlson, and DIana Ross are keeping the Supreme legacy alive. LONG LIVE THE SUPRMES!
I’m Sorry about all my previous posts, It’s just due to a Head injury I received, while driving with Miss Mary in her Jeep, We were smoking crack & Miss Mary rolled her jeep over her son.
Since then I get Miss Mary mixed up with Diana Ross, so I sometimes believe Miss Mary has some sort of Talent.
But I am actually referring to Diana Ross.
But Miss Mary remains a close friend, she’s the only woman I know that has had as much dick in her as me!
Wow! All of these horrible comments and rumors posted here and on You Tube say nothing about Mary Wilson and everything about those who post them. But still, attention is attention and she obviously has a lot of it from the Ross fan base. I bet you even download her new single “Life’s Been Good To Me” and later her new CD “Clarity” just so you can hate on them. She’ll take the money and I’ll bet she laughs all the way to the bank! And when was the last time the ‘great’ Diana Ross had a hit, starred in a movie or even had a recording contract?
Well, I think that God is angry with all of the unforgiving folk and judgmental folk out there. He or she who is without sin, please, cast the first stone. It is super ridiculous for us to hold grudges. In our personal lives, and as we talk about these mere women, Diane Ross and Mary Wilson. The late Florence Ballard cannot speak here and now on this earth. I pray I will see her in heaven, if I am blessed to be there. In the meantime, I have been blessed to go to two Diana Ross Concerts this year. Hearing her sing makes me so happy I can’t describe it. I know her voice is nothing like it was 40 years ago. But it is still her, she is alive, and we are blessed to have her with us. I hope she lives forever, my prayer for her soul. I consider her the preeminent song bird of heaven. I know there is a God partly because of her and the gifted voice. Still there are multitudes of other voices from Judy Garland to the recent contestants on Sunday Best on Bet. I am glad that God is no respecter of persons. I want to see Diana Ross and Mary Wilson get over the past and love each other and celebrate the magnificent Supremes legacy that they share. At the two Ross shows I was at this year, the Supremes hits are the highlight of the show. Diana Ross’ greatest legacy is her humble beginnings in the Brewster Projects of Detroit contrasted with her rise to Superstardom. I love her recording of the Christmas song “It’s Christmas Time” and I will play it over and over this Christmas. In the song Diana sings of the Savior who came so we could live forever.
Mary Wilson is talented in a different way from Diana Ross. Yet, she is to be honored for her contribution to the Supremes. Al those who despise her, should remember that, at one time the three ladies truly loved and respected each other. It is that legacy that produced the Supreme Supremes that all of us who are truly Christians must go back to and encourage Diana and Mary to go back to. If we don’t forgive each other, the Bible says that God will not forgive us. May God help all of us to forgive, and to stop letting the Devil use us to be unforgiving.
