Despite his representatives claiming that he was never booked to perform a tribute to Michael Jackson at the BET Awards, some believe Chris Brown is fuming with the network.
“He’s furious,” a pal of the singer told NY Daily News. “BET asked him to perform and waited until the last minute to tell him it was off. He’s pretty shocked and outraged right now.”
Brown’s presence was missed at the show however, there was allegedly debate over the fact that he had plead guilty to assaulting Rihanna nearly a week before the show. Other rumors floating around include Jay Z allegedly threatening to pull his performance from the show and concerns from advertisers including CoverGirl.
Both BET and Chris Brown’s management say there is no truth to these rumors.

Dang, Chris is mean mugging right there, whoa and honestly I don’t blame him one bit, you can’t expect him to be smiling right then. I’d be furious too as Chris for the Mess BET pull, string him along, rehearsals, everything then at the last minute pull Cb from the show!
You know now I’m glad Cb didn’t get to perform, because everyone would have been upstaged by his performance and everyone would have been jealous. Plus BET screwed up the MJ tribute, it was a disgrace and an embarrassment to all fans and to the Jackson family. That was not a MJ tribute it was a Circus act that went horribly wrong.
If BET in fact stopped Chris Brown from perfoming that is shame on them. Chris Brown is the ONLY one that can really pull off Michael Jackson. The BET award show had drug dealers and users performing (lil wayne and crew) so why not let Chris perform. Everyone makes mistakes. Give him a break. He would have done the show justice!!!!

chris did a mj dance a while ago and he was just like mj and i hate that he did not perform, but he will get a chance to do it there will be more tributes to the king of pop and i just wonder who will wear the crown there will never be another michael but there will be other talented artist, chris should get the tape of where he performed a mj and offer it up as a tribute to mj.

THIS IS CRAZY! I think people are forgetting that CB is still human, he has feelings just like everyone else. BET should be ashamed! It seems so funny tht Jay Z is being so protective over her.
