After selling out more than 90% of the North American and international dates on her “I AM…” world concert tour, Beyonce has decided to set aside 2,500 free tickets for her Detroit concert (July 18, Palace of Auburn Hills) for local families affected by the crisis in the auto industry !
Drawn from a list provided by Democratic Congressman Gary Peters, five Detroit-area social service agencies — Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, Youthville, Oakland Family Services, and Community Housing Network — have been given tickets to Beyonce’s upcoming concert to distribute to the local community, with each organization extending invitations to families they serve.
