If you thought the ‘Sheneneh’ and ‘Wanda’ clips at the BET Awards were funny and just a joke, get ready for over an hour of the same.
Sources close to Screen Gems have confirmed that a film with Martin Lawrence and Jamie Foxx reprising their hilarious characters from ‘Martin’ and ‘In Living Color’ will come to theaters in the near future.
Foxx will write the script while Lawrence is expected to aid in production.
Sources say the parody done at the BET Awards was never intended to reach theaters. Due to the reaction however, Foxx and Lawrence have decided to run with it. Sheneneh and Wanda will appear as modern independent women trying to make it on their own, one bank robbery at a time.
What do you think …. step forward or backward for the two ?
I believe that if everyone will step back and take this for what it is, then, it will be a piece of great comedic history. Truly, both of these characters are loved by anyone who watched either of the respected shows. Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence are going to cut loose and do what they do best: ENTERTAIN!!!!!! A step backwards for either, hell no!!! All I can say is…..OOOOOHHHHH MY GOOOOODDDNNNNESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, let’s all lighten up. Someone like a Robin Williams or Jim Carrey can fluctuate between the extremely goofy and the extremely serious when it comes to movie roles, but are never questioned as “taking a step back”; they’re just seen as stretching/showing their comedic genius. Let’s take it for what it is: a good laugh–and move on!
I think that it will be a good movie, i dont want to compare it to something to like Madea, but what i seen i at the BET Awards this pass year was hot. i have to go and check that out. i holla, ya digg
I CAN’T WAIT I LOVE BOTH CHARACTERS I ALSO ENJOY
BOTH ACTORS IN ALL THEY HAVE DONE I LOVE ANYTHING THAT CAN MAKE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD AND THESE TWO ACTORS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO THIS FOR ME THE WORLD CAN ALWAYS USE A LAUGH IT’S GOOD FOR THE SOUL. SO NO I DO NOT THINK THAT IT’S A STEP FOR THEM.
WHAT’S WRONG WITH THEM DOING THE VERY THING THAT MADE US ALL FOLLOW THEIR CAREERS. SO I SAY YOU GO BOYS (MEN) MAKE ME LAUGH. IT’S LONG OVER DO.
