Kansas City Chiefs athlete Larry Johnson has been benched permanently!

After coming under fire in recent years, due to a  ‘disturbing the peace’ conviction, reported violent streaks toward women and recently the criticizing of his coach and members of the media, sources say Chiefs officials made the call to press forward without Johnson Monday.

Johnson, also known for his affiliation with entertainers and personalities including Jay Z, Chilli (TLC) and Julissa of BET, was guaranteed $19million of a reported $45 million contract with the Chiefs in 2006.
“A part of him is excited and a part of him is very regretful,” his agent, Peter Schaffer, told The Associated Press Monday. “There’s a lot of feelings going on right now. It’s analogous to breaking up with a girlfriend. Maybe you saw it coming, but it still hurts when it happens.”

Chiefs’ head coach Todd Haley also issued a statement Monday. Calling the decision the best for the team, Haley told press “Every decision we’ve made here … has been what we thought was best for the football team.” “Some of those decisions might appear real good at times, and some of them might appear real bad at times.”
