Even though years have passed since they first debuted and later went separate ways, Jermaine Jackson says he has not forgotten the feeling of being “alone” and the backlash received from fans who blamed him for the Jackson 5 coming to an end. In a scene that will soon be seen on the anticipated A&E Jackson reality show, Jackson cries when recalling the year 1976.
“Do you know what it is to be alone? Just to be alone?” Jermaine says, choking up, in preview of ‘The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty”. “I’m out in the streets and kids are saying, ‘We don’t want your autograph, ’cause you’re the one that broke the group up.’”
According to Jackson, fans were not enthused with his decision to stay behind out of “loyalty” to Motown while the rest of the group jumped to CBS Records in 1976.
‘The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty’ premieres on A&E Sunday, December 13.
He should be just as “ass-shamed” for the alledged sleeping with Randy’s wife!…The question as to why Randy is NOT paticipating in the reality series has not been answered!…Jermaine didn’t give Randy a shout-out either at last Sunday’s AMA’s, while he was thanking all of his siblings either!…All of this is NOT ironic for any fan can tell their is beef and friction between him and Randy; fans lets not sugar-coat this situation either..They are one of my all-time personal favorite musical acts and what decade did they decide to have Jermaine in particular as the family spokesperson for damn-near anything Jackson related!…Why hasn’t Jackie taken on more of the big-brother role over the years?..Whatever happened to that 5-star, critically-acclaimed Jazz-album that Tito was supposed to release?…Hopefully, the series will answer these questions and more! The Jackson’s are some of the most gracious celebrities in showbusiness, who have remained drug-free unlike other entertainers, but Jermaine has appeared looking crazy for years with that akward-haircut, his strange middle-eastern everyday wardrobe and this waxy-acne textured high-gloss skin complexion of his!..Damn, even for awhile Janet was publically mad at him, but we didn’t really know why?????.Brothers, we have to stay focused along our walk-of-life for we see how our selfishness can have long term effects!…Best of luck to the entire Jackson family!!!!
I completely co-sign Sam, JJ’s motives and morals are suspect as hell.
Jermaine is the reason I started playing bass.He remains one of my favorite bassists, however, he needs to answer why he left the group when they had less than a year to go on their contract witn Motown.why not wait until it was up before jumping ship? Rumor has it that he left the group between shows at the Westbury theater.
I hope his brothers tell him how THEY felt when he left.Didn’t he think there would be a backlash? His father in law should’ve better prepared him for the ramifications of his decision.Loyalty to Motown? he was a good singer but breaking up the group that is just plain greety dont break up a group like that if they would of stayed together micheal would not of died because his brothers could have helped him get through all the pain that mike was going through at the time and he also might of not bleached himself
