Gillette Shaves Off Tiger Woods Ads

Tiger Woods

Gillette (P&G) is hitting Tiger Woods where it hurts — his checkbook.

Following Accenture, who removed Woods from its website after consistent negative attention stemming from infidelity, Proctor & Gamble says it will begin phasing ads featuring the pro-golfer out of promotions for Gillette.

“As Tiger takes a break from the public eye, we will support his desire for privacy by limiting his role in our marketing program,” Gillette said in a statement Saturday.

Ouch… Tiger Woods recently confirmed that he is taking an indefinite break from golf.

Gillette goes by the slogan “The Best a Man Can Get”, but they have distanced themselves from Tiger Woods as he takes his break from golf. When it comes to the media, Tiger is now getting ‘the worst a man can get’.

Damn right, Tiger is getting the ‘worst a man can get’, because he deserves it. I’m glad Gillette will not be using him in their ads.
