Janet Jackson tapped into frustration over her brother’s death and the circumstances surrounding it in Tyler Perry’s forthcoming film “Why Did I Get Married Too ?”

While Jackson was coy about the film during a recent interview, there are scenes where the “Feedback” singer goes to war with a golf club and furniture.

Admitting that she channeled her brother’s death and perhaps on-and-off-again relationship with Jermaine Dupri, Jackson told Jay Leno “You have to dig deep but there was some stuff that was right there for me. Stuff that had just happened, with my brother passing, and also relationships, experiencing exactly that.”

‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’ opens in theaters Friday, April 2.
